Sequel to Den Of Thieves released - latest on Netflix

Now a sequel to the massive box office success of the 2018 film- Den of thieves has been released on the OTT Giant Netflix. "Den of Thieves: Pantera" or "Den of Thieves 2: Pantera" has started streaming on Netflix since 20th March 2025.

With the 55 year old Gerard Butler's presence in the 2nd instalment of the movie, it's been a huge success already.

Many highly anticipated movies have been released  recently(like Kraven: The Hunter, The Twister: Caught in the Storm,  Despicable Me 4, Trap, The Electric State). But Gerard's movie has taken the top spot already after having crawled up among the OTT streaming services' list of most watched movies.

Those who like to watch suspense movies should consider watching this movie sometime this week or maybe this weekend.

The movie is written & directed by Christian Gudegast. The movie stars O Shea Jackson Jr. along with Gerard Butler, both of whom continue doing what they do best, from the previous film.  The movie also stars Salvatore Esposito & Evin Ahmad apart from others. 

Lionsgate released the movie in the theatres on 10th January 2025. Since then, Den Of Thieves 2: Pantera has grossed 57 million USD worldwide.

In this movie Gerard Butler plays the role of a disgruntled detective named Nick O'Brien who is reeling from his recent divorce. The plot goes like this- in Belgium, the Panther mafia manage to successfully rob a red diamond from the airplane hangar. 

When Nick O'Brien discovers that the next heist is being planned in France he lands in France to stop the planned jewelry heist. The planning, action, execution starts here.

Simultaneously the Calabrian mafia who have been super pissed because of the red diamond having been stolen also get involved. There are crazy fight sequences, flirting, romance, vengeful action sequences with dialogues, kidnapping, suspense, blackmailing in this high octane action & suspense drama.

"Den of Thieves 2: Pantera" is inspired by the real life diamond heist which is arguably believed to be one of the largest robberies of diamonds, gold, silver & other type of jewelry valued at around $100 million & is one of the the biggest heists in the history of Europe.

The heist took place on a weekend on 15-16 February 2003 in Antwerp, Belgium.
